A pastor and his legion of followers have prayed and fasted as they await the miracle since Sunday, March 26. Pastor Githumba who has borrowed heavily from the biblical Messianic story was confident that his wife would be resurrect after three days. Like Jesus Christ.
The Kenyan pastor has set camp at the Gakwegeri funeral home in Embu town waiting for his wife to return from the dead.

Photos that have been making rounds online show the pastor dressed in a gray jacket, Khaki pants and a blue shirt standing outside the funeral home. His arms are outstretched in what looks like an earnest prayer. A prayer for his wife who kicked the bucket on Sunday, March 26
"I believe my wife who died on Sunday will resurrect today, she isn't dead but resting and will resurrect as Lazarus did," the pastor told residents. She was supposed to wake up on Wednesday, March 29 according to the pastor's estimation. In anticipation of the miracle that Gathumba had promised, residents and local media houses milled around the funeral home waiting for the miracle to happen. As at the time this story was published, the pastor and his followers were still waiting for God's appointed time.

The pastor said that he will not leave the funeral home until his 'sleeping wife' wakes up from the dead.
